Job description
Remedy Recruitment Group are looking for an Un-Qualified Reparation and Restorative Justice Worker for a Local Authority in East London.
Job Purpose
Work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team providing services to young people involved in the criminal justice system and their families, with the purpose of preventing offending and promoting Restorative Justice approaches. To help deliver the practical reparative activities in line with national and local guidance with a specific victim focus. To deliver specific RJ work, including contacting and visiting victims, work with perpetrators and working closely with Police colleagues.
The key objectives are to:
- To help deliver the practical reparative activities. To work alongside the young people and monitor their behaviour whilst working in line with both national and local guidance.
- To work directly with young people undertaking restorative justice processes, as agreed by Reparation, Unpaid Work and Junior Attendance Centre Coordinator.
- To assist in working to prevent offending by children and young people
- Supervise direct reparation
- To offer the victims of young people who commit crime the opportunity to take part in restorative processes
- To deliver victim awareness interventions
- Contact and seek personal views from victims of crime
- To attend Referral Order community panels on behalf or with victims to encourage and promote their views.
- Attend appointments with victims and young people, in their homes where required, in line with lone-working policies.
You will need to be:
HCPC registered
