Remedy Education is excited to offer an opportunity to join a specialist secondary SEN school in Greenwich, supporting students aged 11-19 with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and complex medical or behavioural needs. If you're looking for a meaningful role - whether you're a graduate, career-changer, or just someone who wants to make a difference - this could be the path for you.

About the school:

This is a school that stands out for its calm, nurturing environment and genuinely child-centred ethos. The leadership team prioritises wellbeing, inclusion, and emotional connection - for both students and staff. Facilities are creative and well-equipped, including sensory rooms, therapy spaces, and outdoor learning zones. It's a place where every staff member is valued and supported to grow.

What you'll be doing:

As a Trainee SEN Support Worker, you'll be part of a close-knit classroom team supporting students in both educational and care-based activities.

Your role will include:

  • Supporting with a sensory-based, personalised curriculum

  • Helping students engage in creative and therapeutic activities like music, art, and hydrotherapy

  • Assisting with communication using tools like PECS, Makaton, and AAC

  • Encouraging social interaction, emotional regulation, and independent skills

  • Providing personal care, feeding, and support with transitions throughout the day

  • Working alongside therapists, teachers, and other specialists as part of a multi-disciplinary team

  • Being a consistent, calm and grounding presence for young people with high support needs

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be calm, patient, and emotionally grounded

  • Build trust and relationships with students over time

  • Be resilient and reflective, able to manage big emotions and unexpected moments

  • Work well in a team and follow guidance

  • Be willing to support personal care needs in a respectful and professional way

Why work through Remedy Education?

  • Competitive pay: £110 - £115 per day

  • Full training and ongoing CPD

  • Opportunities for long-term roles, permanent contracts, or further training

  • A supportive consultant (speak to Scott!) who understands the SEN sector

  • Pathways into teaching or therapy-related careers
