Remedy Recruitment Group are looking for a Team Manager for a Leaving Care Team for a Local Authority in South London.

Job Purpose

The Leaving Care Service currently comprises 4 teams supporting nearly 800 young people aged 18 to 25. To strengthen the management support to young people and staff we are restructuring to become 6 teams and have a new opportunity for a Team Manager to join our expanding service.

We need a strong and dynamic team manager to help lead our leaving care service on the next stage of improving outcomes for young people. We are making good progress, with Ofsted telling us that 'the service for care leavers is showing improvement and is benefiting from the importance that has been placed on it….staff are committed to the young people they work with'.

We now need to build on ensuring young people are at the heart of all we do. With a social work qualification and experience in managing statutory services for children or care leavers, you will bring energy and enthusiasm.

You will be able to demonstrate your understanding of the issues relevant to supporting care leavers as well as a good working knowledge of legislation and effective practice in this area. You will need to be:

HCPC registered
