Job Advert: Teaching Assistant/LSA/Behaviour Mentor
Location: Greenwich (SEN/SEMH School)
Position: Long-term Temporary (Immediate Start)
Salary: £105 to £120 per day (Also based on experience, school, and travel distance)
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant (TA)/Learning Support Assistant (LSA)/Behaviour Mentor to join our team, working within SEN/SEMH schools. This is an exciting opportunity to support students either in class or on a 1:1 basis, ensuring they receive the tailored support they need to thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide individualised support to students with specific SEN or SEMH needs in a classroom or 1:1 setting.
Work within small, heavily supported classes with a student-to-TA ratio of 3:1.
Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create a nurturing learning environment.
Implement strategies to manage and improve student behaviour and engagement.
Assist in developing personalised learning plans and interventions.
Requirements:
Experience working in an educational setting is essential.
SEN and/or SEMH experience is highly desirable.
A valid DBS on the Update Service, or the willingness to obtain a new one.
A commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
