Main Duties

Visit family homes (both sites and housing) to support form filling, reading and explaining letters that arrive regarding benefits, housing and other issues.
Liaise with appropriate agencies in order to problem solve debt, housing and benefit issues.
Attend multiagency meetings, such as Single Assessment Framework meetings, Social Care and Professional meetings, to contribute information.
Build relationships by being able to work in a flexible manner to ensure that families are able to and willing to engage with the work.
To work in partnership with agencies to promote education
Ensure work logs and visit notes are kept up to date and to give written/verbal reports as required by Line Manager.
Actively promote Equal Opportunities and Race Equality Policies in relation to Travellers.
