Job description

Our client, Southend Council is looking for a Senior Practitioner to join their Edge of Care team.

This is an opportunity for someone who is looking to develop their career in a supportive, stable, and nurturing environment, providing a strength based and restorative model of working. You will work closely with the Team manager to provide leadership within the team. You will be providing supervision, support and case oversight to practitioners and deputising for the team manager when needed.

You will lead the targeted interventions with families facing health, behaviour, and education challenges to improve outcomes and prevent children coming into care, placement breakdowns and planned reunifications. To build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders providing a locality lead for working in a multi-professional way.

You also be part of 'out of hours Manager on call' and working as a multi-disciplinary team which will be available to support families 7 days a week between the hours.

Essential requirements:
* Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification
* Registration with Social Work England
* ASYE completed
