Job description

Our client, South Gloucestershire Council is looking for a Team Manger to join their Response Team.

Immediate start Team Manager sought for a supplementary 4th Response Team at South Gloucestershire Council

This is an assessment team operating on a duty rota basis. This team is made up of 4 agency social workers, operating alongside 3 other Response (duty) teams, and a Newly Qualified Social Worker Team. Experience managing front door assessment teams is essential, as is someone that can commit to at least 8/9 months (team funded initially until at least the end of the financial year, March 2022.

The post holder will lead, manage and oversee the work of the team to ensure that vulnerable children are protected from significant harm, to work with children where there is risk of family breakdown, as well as working with children in care.

The post holder will also provide continuity of cover for other Team Leaders in their absence, and provide support and guidance to Senior Social Workers who may be deputising for Team Leaders.

Working in a multi-agency context, the post holder will promote effective partnerships with those providing preventative and/or specialist services in the public, private, community and voluntary sectors, as well as with children young people and their families, foster carers and adopters to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Essential requirements:
* Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification
* Registration with Social Work England
* ASYE completed
