Job description

Our client, Solihull MBC is looking for a Assistant Team Manager to join their Hospital Team.

Assistant Team Manager required for full time post ( will include some Saturdays) in the Solihull Hospital Social Work Team.

Some working in office is required in addition to working form home.

Previous experience required of managing staff in a busy team. Experience required to demonstrate understanding of the current Hospital discharge to assess model implemented during the pandemic.

Will be required to support both functions in the team, Acute discharges and post hospital work for long term planning.

Must be able to provide effective supervision to a group of social workers and social care facilitators.

Must have experience of being able to manage sickness absence, performance and staff welfare.

Ability to meet deadlines and targets to ensure smooth flow out of hospitals and temporary services.

Essential requirements:
* Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification
* Registration with Social Work England
* ASYE completed
