Social Care Assistant, Up to £12.44

Must have experience of working with C&F

If you are a Qualified Social Worker with a background working with Children in Need, we want to hear from you.

You will be building effective relationship with the Child in question, to ensure a ful\ly integrated and holistic approach.

Main duties include:

  • Supervising 'Family Time' (contact) for children with their families (where this is not able to be covered elsewhere)
  • Welfare/monitoring visits as part of supporting social work planning for children
  • An additional person to accompany Social Workers on visits to children and families where needed
  • Liaison with partner agencies and key agencies to ensure effective and consistent information sharing
  • Practical support where families need immediate assistance such as gas/electricity/food.
  • Supporting parents and social workers in getting children to appointments and school
  • Supporting parents where children are not in school and parents need to attend meetings with the children's Social Workers.
  • Supporting children and families in accessing activities and groups
  • You will be required to record all case work as per current CWAC recording policy. This includes maintaining accurate, good quality case records that evidence the child/young person's views.
  • undertake such work as may be determined by the Team Manager

Essential requirements:

  • Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification
  • Registration with Social Work England
  • ASYE complete
  • Experience with Children in Need
