Remedy Recruitment Group are currently seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to work within Ealing Councils Frontline Childrens Services.

Job Purpose

We are looking for skilled and thoughtful qualified social workers with experience in working with assessments, child in need and child protection families. You will be able to undertake collaborative and clear child and family assessments where you analyse information to draw out key strengths and needs and assess risk in line with the London CP threshold guidance. You should be able to build and maintain relationship with families and partner agencies and use these relationships to create change for children and families. We would expect you to be able to create and implement care plans for CIN and CP in collaboration with the family and partner agencies within the parameters of key legislation. We would like you to be empathetic, thoughtful and understand the importance of relationships and how trauma and discrimination create barriers to us being able to engage families. You should be comfortable in working on duty and responding to section 47 enquires and duty task with empathy and purposefulness.

We would expect you to be able to write initial court statements on occasion and prepare families for court and for moving over to our dedicated court team. We are looking for social workers who want the challenge of working in a busy and supportive team where excellent relational social work practice is promoted and expected. We require you to be able to work to timescales to ensure that we identify those we need to work and identify those we do not need to work with, and our service is always meaningful. We ask that social workers are based in the office on duty for one week in every four and able to work from home for the other three weeks.

You can expect personal and case supervision monthly, the opportunity to undertake training in line with your development and to be treated how we expect families to be treated. We have Pod check ins 3 times a week to ensure staff are supported and listened to and we promote selfcare, annual leave and TOIL as essential parts of a healthy service. You will receive equipment to work from home and can use our office based in Ealing Broadway.
