This role will involve;

* Clear knowledge of Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, DOLS, Safeguarding Policy and procedure
* Competent IT skills
* Chairing Safeguarding meetings
* Chairing Best Interest meetings
* Being able to deputise for Line Manager when required
* Duty Senior/Duty Safeguarding manager
* Chairing professional meetings
* Overall responsibility for the implementation of the team plan involving the team
* Facilitating case transfers to other teams within the Local Authority
* Working in partnership with professionals across the Adult Social Care and Health care teams
* Supervising Social Workers, which could be up to 6
* Authorising Mental Capacity Assessments
* Acting as Adults Safeguarding Manager (SAM)
* Supporting Social Workers with complex casework
