SEN Teaching Assistant - Southwark, South East London

A lovely primary school in Southwark are looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to start in ASAP.

The school are looking for a Teaching Assistant who can support a pupil in a primary class one a one to one basis. The student is statemented with developmental delay and speech and language difficulties. You will be required to support the student and work according to his IEP, also work alongside the teacher, supporting other children in the classroom and helping with planning and preparation.

The successful candidate should:

• Have proven experience supporting children with SEN
• Knowledge of Makaton would be a bonus
• Be enthusiastic about supporting SEN children
• Be friendly and show own initiative Strong written and communication skills

This is a long-term position Monday to Friday 8:30 - 4 (Full-time).

The school is located closely to local tube and busses.

You must hold a current DBS to be accepted for this role.
