A golden opportunity for the right SEN Teaching Assistant is available now at a mainstream Primary school located in the Heart of Greenwich. As this position will include free training and secure career progression, the SEN Teaching Assistant must have:

  • 1st or 2:1 degree
  • Supported SEN children
  • Knowledge of Makaton or Speech and Language Therapy*
  • Experience with Read Write Inc. or teaching phonics
  • A good team player
  • Believe in high expectations and aims
  • Enhanced DBS check

In the beginning, the SEN Teaching Assistant will be working with the SEN team, supporting children 1:1 or in groups. This will include assisting inside and outside of the classroom. After a set period of time, the school will review and create an individualised plan for your professional development.

Primary School:

After renovations and an increase in funding this 2-form entry Primary school has added new facilities along with an Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP) to further support children with Autism and Down's syndrome.
