Male Primary SEN Teaching Assistant | Fantastic Primary School in North London

An 'Outstanding' Primary School is looking for a MALE SEN Teaching assistant to work with a young boy in Year 4 with autism and behaviour issues. This role will also involve you supervising a few boys in particular during break times and taking them to the toilet (no personal care required).

The Primary School has an excellent support staff team who are committed to ensuring the pupils get the most from their education. If you are a graduate with a strong academic background and experience working in SEN, then this is the ideal role for you.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Male Primary SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Full time, Monday - Friday, Long term
  • Focus on supporting children with: Autism (ASD), ADHD and a range of behaviour issues
  • Working alongside the Class Teacher & Schools SENCo following a learning plan
  • £70 - £85 per day
  • Located in the London Borough of Haringey, or nearby.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Graduates wanted
  • Previous SEN experience is desirable, but not essential
  • Must be confident within your ability and look to go above and beyond for the child
  • Strong understanding of ADHD & SEN is required
  • Must have a good understanding of behaviour management
