POSITION: SEN Teaching Assistant - Multiple Vacancies - Early Years, KS1 & KS2

The Candidate:

  • Will have UK classroom experience
  • Ideally have experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (Autism, Emotional Behaviour Difficulties, Learning Difficulties)
  • PECS, MAKATON, TEAACH or TEAM TEACH would be an advantage.
  • Excel at building great relationships with pupils and staff
  • Have a current DBS on the update service

SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT PERSON SPECIFICATION:

I am keen to meet bright and ambitious Graduates/ Teaching assistants, who and energetic and proactive. You will be a kind and caring character, who is keen to excel themselves. You must be available to work full time for the full academic year.

When working with SEN pupils, building relations and gaining a rapport with children is key, so this post is the perfect opportunity to work long term with SEN pupils and a supportive SEN team.

SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT JOB SPECIFICATION:

This is an 'Outstanding' school, and the staff pride themselves on their supportive and positive ethos. They have an extremely strong support team and invest heavily in it to make sure that pupils with Special Educational Needs are fully supported from Nursery through to Year 6. If successful, you will have the opportunity to work with children with a range of difficulties, including Autism, Aspergers and ADHD amongst others.
