My PRU based in Bromley is looking for a bright and passionate graduate to join their team as an SEN Teaching Assistant. This post is full time and long term, commencing in January 2018 and will be a long term, ongoing role.

QUALIFICATIONS: 2:1 degree or above - Psychology or core subject

SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT - PERSON:
To be considered for this exciting SEN Teaching Assistant post you will be a bright and determined Graduate who has their sights on a career within Education, whether it be teaching or Psychology. You will have a clear interest in working with children with Special Educational needs and will have some practical experience under your belt. You will have an excellent academic record, with good A Levels and GCSEs.
SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT - ROLE :
You will be tasked with supporting a very challenging, autistic child in Year 5 who has moderate needs. It will be your aim to learn the best ways to assist the child to engage with the curriculum and you will support him throughout the school. You will help to build their confidence academically but will also be there to support him emotionally. This really is a rewarding role, but it is challenging at times so prior experience and an open mind is crucial.
