The Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students both inside and outside the classroom. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Progress & Development - Supporting students to achieve key milestones and feeding back to teachers and parents on their progress.

  • Emotional Guidance - Creating a safe, structured, and nurturing environment to help students manage anxieties, behaviour, and sensory needs.

  • Collaboration - Working closely with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure a joined-up approach to learning and wellbeing.

  • Inclusion - Encouraging social skills and promoting independence, ensuring every student feels part of the school community.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with students with Autism or other SEN in a school or care setting.

  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to follow individual learning plans (IEPs).

  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn new strategies.

  • An up-to-date enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply).

What We Offer:

  • Competitive daily rates of £100 - £120 depending on experience.

  • Full-time, long-term positions with immediate start dates.

  • Ongoing training and CPD opportunities.

  • A supportive team and consultant guidance throughout your placement.

  • The chance to build a rewarding career in SEN support.

If you are an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant ready to provide tailored support and help students thrive, we would love to hear from you.
