Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
Start: September 2025
Location: E17, Waltham Forest
Contract: Full time
Rate: £95-£110 per day
At Remedy a compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant who is dedicated to supporting a non-verbal student in year 3. This role will require you to be patient and caring. You will collaborate with the classroom teacher and other professionals to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all student.
The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting.
- Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods.
- Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students and the educational environment.
