SEN Teaching Assistant - Person Specification

To be considered for this SEN Teaching Assistant role you must have a motivated and consistent attitude towards providing support for these students. You may have gained previous experience on a voluntary or paid basis. You may also have provided support for a family member and have other relevant experience.

You will have a committed attitude and an enthusiasm to work with students on both a 1.1 or group basis. Engaging and inspiring the students to exceed their expectations in their learning objectives.

You may be a graduate that is looking to build on your experience and can display you have the capacity to work well with SEN students and help them build confidence with their various learning objectives. Having a commitment and putting students well-being first is key in this SEN Teaching Assistant role.

SEN Teaching Assistant Role

As a SEN Teaching Assistant your role will involve you assisting with general support throughout the school. You will be mentored by a SENCO and taking on 1:1 sessions and booster groups will give you teaching responsibilities. You will receive support and guidance from the Special Educational Needs Coordinator when working as an SEN Teaching Assistant.
