Job Title: SEN Teacher - Secondary SEN School
Location: South East London
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-Term / Permanent
Pay: £160 - £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2025 or ASAP

About the Role:

A dedicated and inclusive Secondary SEN School in South East London is seeking a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher to join their team. The school supports students aged 11-16 with a wide range of needs, including Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs.

The ideal candidate will be a creative and resilient teacher who can plan and deliver differentiated, engaging lessons tailored to EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans), while managing complex behaviours with a nurturing and structured approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver accessible, personalised lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4

  • Work closely with support staff, therapists, and families to meet students' individual needs

  • Create a positive, inclusive learning environment

  • Track and assess student progress and adapt teaching accordingly

  • Contribute to the wider school community and support whole-child development

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS) - essential

  • Experience teaching in a SEN or alternative provision setting

  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills

  • A patient, adaptable and empathetic teaching style

  • Knowledge of strategies for supporting Autism, SEMH, and complex learning needs
