1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant - Barkingside, Redbridge
ASAP Start | SEN/SEMH School | Full-Time

We are currently looking for a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a Year 7 student with ASD at an SEN/SEMH school in Barkingside, Redbridge. This is a full-time role to start immediately.

The right person must have previous experience supporting children or young people with autism. You will be working closely with the class teacher and SEN team to put the right strategies in place, helping the student with learning, focus, and social development.

The role:

• Providing 1:1 classroom and pastoral support to a Year 7 student with ASD

• Helping with focus, emotional regulation, and engagement in lessons

• Supporting learning both in and out of class, adapting activities where needed

• Working alongside teachers and SEN staff to deliver consistent support

What we're looking for:

• Essential: Experience supporting students with ASD

• Patient, resilient and positive approach

• Good communication skills and ability to build strong relationships

• Someone who genuinely enjoys working with young people with SEN
