SEN Teaching Assistant Opportunities - Enfield

Join a specialist SEN school with five dedicated sites, supporting learners from Early Years through to Post-16

Are you looking for a teaching assistant role where your work truly makes a difference? Remedy Education is working with an exceptional SEN school in Enfield that has five separate sites, each providing tailored education for children and young people aged 0 to 18 with a wide range of additional needs.

We're looking for motivated, caring individuals with experience in SEN settings to join their team. Whether you've supported students 1:1 in mainstream or specialist provisions before, or you're ready to take the next step in your SEN career, this could be the right fit for you.

You'll be supporting learners on one of the school's sites, helping them follow their individual education and health care plans (EHCPs), and encouraging personal progress and academic growth.

Both full-time and part-time positions are available, offering flexibility to suit your needs.

What you'll do

  • Provide support to children and young people with SEN, including autism and ADHD
  • Follow personalised plans and safeguarding procedures to help each learner thrive
  • Work closely with colleagues to create a positive, safe, and encouraging learning environment
  • Support communication and social skills development, using strategies like Makaton or PECS if trained
  • Help students build confidence, independence, and resilience in a variety of challenging situations

Who we want

  • Experienced SEN Teaching Assistants, especially those familiar with autism, ADHD, or behavioural needs
  • Candidates who stay calm and positive, even when things get difficult
  • People with strong teamwork skills who are flexible and willing to learn
  • Those who hold an enhanced DBS (or are willing to apply for one through Remedy Education)
  • Experience with Team Teach or similar positive handling techniques is a plus but not essential

If this role isn't quite right for you, get in touch anyway - we have other opportunities within our network that might be a better match.

Due to high application volumes, we'll only respond to those progressing to interview, but thank you for your interest.

If you're ready to join a school that values every learner and every member of its team, send your CV to Remedy Education today.
