Job Title: SEN Support Mentor
Location: Southwark, South East London
Contract Type: Full-time, Term-Time Only
Hours: Monday to Friday | 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: £100 - £120 per day
Start Date: ASAP or September 2025

About the Role:

A welcoming and inclusive school in Southwark is looking for a passionate and proactive SEN Support Mentor to work with students who have a range of additional needs including Autism, ADHD, SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs, and learning difficulties.

You will work closely with students on a 1:1 or small group basis, providing targeted support to help them manage their emotions, build confidence, and access learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide mentoring and emotional support to students with SEN

• Assist with behaviour management and encourage positive social interactions

• Support pupils both in the classroom and during unstructured times (breaks/lunchtimes)

• Work with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to deliver personalised strategies

• Help build resilience, motivation, and self-esteem in pupils

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience working with SEN and/or challenging behaviour

• Strong interpersonal and behaviour management skills

• A calm, nurturing, and consistent approach

• Resilient, reliable, and passionate about supporting young people

• Background in education, youth work, care, or mentoring is desirable
