SEN Teaching Assistant
We are seeking a experienced Learning Support Assistant to assist in our SEN school based in Orpington. You will be required full time Monday to Friday starting ASAP.
About the role
In this SEN LSA position you will be supporting the teacher within a classroom setting, you may be involved in doing one 1:1 work with SEN students. The students at this school do have Learning Disabilities, ASD and ADHD so experience is necessary.
The ideal candidate will have experience of working with children special educational needs and more specifically. We are specifically looking for support staff with a particular specialism such as ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder), Speech and Language Communication Needs, SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), PMLD (Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties) or SEMH (Social Emotional Mental Health). Due to the nature of the students a patient, caring and compassionate approach is needed. We are looking for recent graduates who are looking to build their experience working with SEN pupils and more experienced SEN Teaching Assistants.
Recent experience and a genuine passion for working with SEN pupils are essential. All applicants will need to hold a current enhanced DBS and be fully compliant to work in the UK.
