Are you a compassionate, patient and resilient Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in a child's education? We are seeking a dedicated TA to join our friendly primary school in Greenwich, supporting a pupil with Special Educational Needs, including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and behaviour.

About the Role:
In this rewarding role, you will work one-to-one with a child who requires consistent, structured and nurturing support to thrive in the classroom. You will be part of a supportive staff team committed to creating a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 support for a child with SEN, including SEMH and behaviour needs
  • Implement individual support strategies and follow the child's personalised plan
  • Help maintain a safe, calm and encouraging learning environment
  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCo and external professionals
  • Build trusting relationships with the child to support their academic and personal development

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has experience supporting children with SEN, SEMH or behavioural needs (school-based experience desirable)
  • Is calm, empathetic and proactive
  • Can use their initiative and adapt to changing needs
  • Communicates effectively with staff, pupils and families
  • Is committed to helping children overcome barriers to learning

What We Offer:

  • A welcoming, supportive and dedicated school community
  • Ongoing training and professional development
  • The opportunity to make a significant impact in a child's school experience
  • Competitive pay based on experience

If you are passionate about supporting children with additional needs and want to be part of a nurturing and forward-thinking primary school, we would love to hear from you.
