Job description
Alternative Provision Teacher | East Riding, Yorkshire | Full-Time | Term-Time Only | October 2025 Start
Join a Brand-New Alternative Provision - Be Part of Something Real
At Remedy Education, we're proud to be working with a brand-new Alternative Provision opening its doors based in East Riing, Yorkshire. This isn't just another teaching job it's an opportunity to help shape a setting built around inclusion, trust, and second chances.
We're on the lookout for a qualified teacher who isn't afraid of a challenge, someone who can connect with students others may have written off, and who understands that progress doesn't always look like a perfect lesson plan.
Who we're looking for:
QTS (or equivalent recognised teaching qualification)
Experience with SEMH, behaviour, or vulnerable learners is a big plus
A strong but nurturing approach to classroom management
Someone who thrives in a fast-paced, adaptive environment
A genuine belief in restorative practice and trauma-informed teaching
This role would suit:
Teachers who've worked in PRUs, APs, or SEND settings
Former mainstream teachers ready for a new direction
Those with an interest in youth work, therapy, or pastoral support
What you can expect:
A ground-floor opportunity in a brand-new provision
A hands-on, supportive leadership team who understand behaviour isn't the whole story
Ongoing CPD focused on SEMH, inclusion, and alternative education
Competitive pay (with PAYE and umbrella options)
A role that's challenging - but incredibly rewarding
This is your chance to teach with purpose, help rewrite the narrative for young people, and be part of something from the very beginning.
If this sounds like you, we'd love to chat.
