Job description

Are you a dedicated and compassionate teacher with experience working with students with social, emotional, and mental health needs? Remedy Education are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team and make a positive difference in the lives of our students.

Position: SEMH Teacher
Location: Walthamstow
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30-3:30pm
Salary: £170-220 per day, dependent on experience
Contract: Full-time, Temp to Perm

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess lessons tailored to meet the social, emotional, and mental health needs of students.
- Create a nurturing and supportive learning environment where students feel safe, valued, and respected.
- Develop individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support plans (BSPs) in collaboration with colleagues, parents, and external agencies.
- Implement evidence-based strategies and interventions to support students' social, emotional, and mental well-being.
- Foster positive relationships with students, providing guidance, encouragement, and mentorship.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to supporting students' needs.
- Monitor and track students' progress, using data to inform teaching and intervention strategies.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student progress, behaviour, and achievements.

**Requirements**:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable.
- Experience working with students with social, emotional, and mental health needs is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of SEMH teaching strategies, interventions, and resources.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Resilience, empathy, and a commitment to promoting the well-being and inclusion of all students.
