Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)

  • Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:45am - 3:30pm
  • Starting September, Ongoing position
  • Greenwich, South East London
  • £97 - £115 per day
  • Social, emotional & cognitive support for students with various SEMH-related needs

Day to day as a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)

  • Supporting student/students in developing their social, emotional and cognitive skills
  • Liaising with the class teacher, SENCO & wider community professionals (e.g. Educational Psychologist) to ensure students are on track
  • Supporting the team in creating a progressive & welcoming learning environment
  • Working with student/students in various year groups with learning disabilities (Autism, ADHD) as well as Mental Health needs

  • Academic individual - holds a degree in a related field
  • Prior experience working with students (ideal but not essential)
  • Understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Empathetic, pro-active & ambitious (must)
