Job description

Are you a graduate or an undergraduate who is looking for a secondary School Direct PGCE teacher training pathway for September 2019?

We have a great opportunity to train in schools across London, Essex, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire. If your passion is to teach in a secondary school we can provide this for you. You can also train in a pupil referral unit.

Subsidised housing while you train is also a possibility if you choose Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire or Bedfordshire.

Undergraduates, graduates and people wishing to change career are all welcome.

We will be there with when you apply to make it easier and solve any issues there and then because we know the application process can seem confusing.

Through this School Direct route, you will gain both a PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate of Education) and QTS (Qualified Teacher Status). Training in school will be provided as well as specialist guidance at our training centres. This will be delivered by very experienced headteachers and trainers. They will also give you the support and mentoring that you need to make you the best teacher you can be.

School Direct Secondary

If your degree is in English, maths, science, MFL, humanities, music or history then you could be qualify for a bursary or scholarship if you train in a secondary school. The amount of funding is based on the level of your degree. If you want to train in a subject (e.g. physical education) that does not have funding attached to it, then you can still qualify for a student loan and means-tested maintenance grants.

We have availability across London, Essex, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire and Bedfordshire.
