Literacy LSA for Secondary Schools - Lambeth - September Start - £70 -£85 per day

Do you have the desire to become a qualified teacher down the line?

Have you got strong literacy skills which could support children in their educational journey?
If this sounds like you, then do not hesitate to apply today! I am currently looking for enthusiastic and nurturing literacy teaching assistants to work in secondary schools across the borough of Lambeth.
The children you'd work with will have a range of additional needs, such as autism, ADHD, behaviour difficulties as well as hearing and sight impairments. You'd be responsible for working closely with these children, providing them with support in and out of the classroom as well as running interventions from pre-planned materials with these children. You could make a huge difference to a child's life and educational journey. The focus would be on supporting these children with their literacy.

About the role:
If you wanted to work as a teaching assistant in Lambeth, you would be tasked with:
- Directly working with children 1-1
- Carrying out small group work with pupils
- Engaging them in learning
- Supporting the pupils with their behaviour by actively using the school's behaviour management strategies to support and engage the pupils
- Working alongside other teaching assistants, and the SENCO, to support the pupils
- Running intervention sessions that are tailored to each child's needs from pre-planned materials
- Being a trusted adult that the pupils can turn to
Requirements:
If you wanted to work as a teaching assistant in Lambeth, you will need to have:
- Enthusiasm for the role and for working with children who have got special educational needs
- Confidence
- Drive to want to work within education and with children
- Availability to work 5 days per week from 8.30am until 3.45pm
