About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Technician to join a dynamic Science Department from September 2025. You will provide essential support for Biology, Chemistry, and Physics lessons, ensuring the smooth preparation and safe delivery of practical experiments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and set up laboratory equipment and materials for science lessons

  • Support teaching staff during practical sessions

  • Maintain stock levels and ensure safe storage and disposal of chemicals

  • Assist with the development of science lesson resources

  • Uphold health and safety standards in all lab activities

  • Ensure the science labs are clean, well-organized, and fully equipped


Candidate Requirements

  • Prior experience working as a Science Technician in a UK secondary school

  • Strong understanding of laboratory protocols and Health & Safety regulations

  • Confidence in handling chemicals and preparing experiments across all three sciences

  • Relevant qualifications or experience in a science-related field

  • Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one before starting
