Temp to Perm School HR Assistant

Location: Enfield, London
Salary: £17 - £19 ph (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent
Start Date: Immediate/As soon as possible

Are you an organised and proactive HR professional with experience in using iTrent and Arbor? We are seeking a School HR Assistant to join our team on a temp-to-perm basis, supporting the smooth running of HR operations at a busy school in Enfield.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support across all areas of the school's HR function, including recruitment, employee records, and absence management.
  • Maintain and update staff data on iTrent and Arbor, ensuring that information is accurate and up to date.
  • Assist with onboarding processes, including preparing contracts, conducting pre-employment checks (DBS), and scheduling inductions.
  • Support payroll processing by ensuring that staff changes, absences, and other data are accurately recorded and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Provide first-line HR advice and support to staff, directing queries to senior HR colleagues when necessary.
  • Help manage staff absence records, sickness, and leave requests, ensuring policies are followed.
  • Assist in organising staff training and maintaining accurate records of professional development.


What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience using iTrent and Arbor in an HR or school administrative role (essential).
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • A good understanding of HR processes, particularly within an educational setting.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive and flexible attitude, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • CIPD qualification or working towards it (desirable but not essential).
