8:30 - 4:30

We are searching for a HR professional to provide high quality and impactful HR support across the school. You will advise and support the Co-Headteachers and Senior Leadership Team of the Secondary School, providing a full HR service from recruitment to exit, and everything in between!

You will be the first point of contact for all HR queries, providing helpful and proactive support and advice to managers and employees on a broad range of HR policies and processes.

The individual is expected to lead by example, develop teamwork and actively promote the school's corporate policies.

School HR Admin Requirements:

  • 2:1 or above degree or 2 years minimum experience
  • The successful candidate will ideally be CIPD Level 5 qualified.
  • Relevant experience of HR policies, procedures, and a good understanding of basic employment legislation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to relate well to people on all levels.
  • Experience in a similar role within the education sector an advantage but not essential.
  • Must be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS.

Your day mapped out:

  • Provide administrative support on a range of HR issues and assist in supporting managers with employee casework.
  • Manage absence records and support the recruitment and selection process.
  • Ensure compliance with Disclosure and Barring checks and Safer Recruitment procedures.
  • Handle HR processes for starters, leavers, and contractual changes, including documentation and payroll.
  • Maintain employee files and compliance processes.
  • Enhance HR administration systems for improved efficiency.
  • Issue HR-related correspondence and maintain the Single Central Record.
  • Create and maintain secure manual and electronic HR filing systems.
  • Support the HR and Payroll system with data input and report generation.
