Role locations - will be anywhere within the Staffordshire County. We have a need in Burton, Cannock, Stafford in particular.

We are seeking qualified experienced social workers to practice across the children's system from point of referral, duty, safeguarding and care proceedings.

This is a role for a skilled and experienced social worker who has a minimum of three years post qualifying experience with evidence of ongoing learning and development. We are seeking a practitioner with well developed practice skills who is able to support a range of children and families alongside less experienced workers on the team including students and ASYE's. Previous experience around adoption is desirable. In Staffordshire, we are implementing a restorative practice model which is focused upon how we work with our children and families in a high challenge high support way. This is an exciting time as we are undergoing a children's system transformation based upon new values and principles.

This is an advanced practitioner role, where the social worker will both work independently and co-work children across teams and services. The successful candidate will complete social work assessments and enquiries, deliver direct interventions, support children who are in need, at risk of significant harm or cared for by the local authority alongside progressing care proceedings and achieving permanancy for children and young people. The role will also involve supporting the development of colleagues and sharing practice experience. Previous experience of working in a restorative, relationship based manner is advantageous.
Due to the regional agreement, we are seeking to attract workers from outside of the West Midlands region and as such will pay travel fees as necessary.
