***Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant position located in Southwark
***£75 -£85 per day dependent on experience
***Long Term Full-Time Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant position starting September 2022
***Wonderfully supportive primary school with a top Head Teacher
***Potential to stay on for the 2023 academic year

This Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant role will suit someone with a Psychology background who strives to build an SEN/Education related career - i.e. Educational Psychology, Speech and Language therapy, Counselling etc etc.

You will work with a Year 2 boy who has Autism and is completely non verbal. He is working at the cognitive age of a Nursery/Reception child and has a lot of energy! It is a challenging yet hugely rewarding role where you will work on a tailored educational programme with him to help him access learning and overcome his barriers to learning. Communicating with him is one of the hardest challenges you will face, therefore if you have any exposure of working with PECS of Makaton, that would be beneficial but certainly not essential. This Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant role is to start ASAP until the end of the academic year. If everything goes well, it is highly likely you will have the opportunity to continue in to next academic year, if that interests you.
