The SENCO of a large primary school in Southwark, South East London is looking for a Psychology Graduate to join their school as an SEN Teaching Assistant to support a pupil on a 1:1 basis. This role would suit a Psychology Graduate who is thinking about a career in Educational Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, or Clinical Psychology.

The school wants graduates who can take a positive approach to learn, that enthuses and excites their pupils. The perfect candidate will be able to develop a positive and inclusive ethos within the classroom in which to help SEN pupils.

You will gain invaluable experience as you work with the SENCO, class teachers and external agencies to forward the progress in academic and social areas of SEN pupils. You will assist the teacher by helping plan lessons and ensuring the necessary class resources are available to use in class. Although probably not involved in your day-to-day duties, the school's highly-skilled Head oversees all teaching staff and can offer excellent guidance and career direction.
