Job Purpose

Practice Manager - Fostering Team - Slough Social Services

If you have experience in managing a fostering team, we want to hear from you.

This is an urgent position to start as soon as possible

Previous experience within a fostering team is essential.

The Practice Manager will lead the Fostering Service and be directly responsible for three operational elements, supported by a Principal Manager for each, including:

  • Supervision and support
  • Assessment
  • Recruitment and retention.

Essential requirements:

  • A social work qualification (degree in social work, DipSW, CQSW or equivalent recognised social work qualification
  • Car driver/owner as you will need to travel around the county
  • Registration with the HCPC
  • Previous fostering experience desirable
  • Ability to foster good inter and intra agency communication and to listen sensitively to different perspectives.

You will be required to fully register with Remedy for all locum positions.
