A fantastic special needs school based within Greenwich are looking for proactive and dedicated PLMD Teaching Assistants to join their team on a temporary basis. The school caters for a range of complex disabilities whether it be physical or learning therefore the students require a high level of support within learning and personal care. With an 'Outstanding' OFSTED report this school pride themselves on their impeccable support to the students, as well as, the resources provided to ensure the students are challenged yet are able to achieve their full potential.

The Role

With a passionate and supportive team of Teachers and Teaching Assistants, they are committed to the health and welfare of their students are now looking for PMLD Teaching Assistant to join their Greenwich team:

• Supporting a small classroom of students
• To be the first point of call to the pupils and SEN Teacher
• Assist with personal car/hygiene
• To assist or plan interactive activities, such as sensory
• Ability to adapt to meet pupils' needs
• Ensuring the classroom is safe and tidy at all time
• Creating an engaging classroom environment
• Adhering to all school policies
• To be vigilant at all times and ensure safe guarding

The Candidate

To be successful within this role you must be professional at all times and happy to do personal care as and when required. This can at times be a challenging yet rewarding environment therefore having a caring and supportive nature is key for this opportunity. You will be confident enough to work independently but also be happy to work collaboratively with other members of staff such as SEN Teaching Assistants. Ideally you will have Team Teach qualification.

It is imperative the successful candidate has a flexible work ethic and can be available at short notice. Temporary and short term contracts can potentially lead to long term or permanent opportunities!
