PMLD Teaching Assistant - Dagenham - SEN school

Remedy Education are looking to recruit a SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a SEN setting in East London. We work with a school that specialises in supporting students with severe Special Educational Needs, who are on the lookout for specialist staff.

• Do you have experience working with pupils that have Profound Multiple Learning Disabilities?
• Will you be able to assist wheelchair users when needed?

To become a successful candidate for this PMLD Teaching Assistant role, you must have previous experience working with pupils that have Physical Disabilities. This role will consist of you working 1:1 with students that have Physical Disabilities which means they may be unable to do day-to-day activities by themselves. You will be responsible for assisting the pupils out of their wheelchair when needed and providing them with beneficial academic sessions. The needs of the pupil is the most important thing so you must be able to identify these needs.
