Remedy Tutors are looking to recruit an outreach teacher to work with home schooled looked after child in the Sutton Coldfield area.

You must have experience of working on a 1:1 basis and working with vulnerable young people. Knowledge and skills to work with SEMH learners is desirable.

As an outreach teacher, you will deliver core subjects to students on a 1:1 basis. Students will be working at varying levels and abilities so you will need to plan and deliver lessons appropriately where you will be required to monitor their progress with weekly reports.

It is essential that you hold QTS or QTLS and are confident delivering Maths, English and Science to both KS3 and KS4 level.

The suitable candidate will have the following skills;

• at least 2 years SEND teaching experience in the UK
• a UK recognised teaching qualification i.e. PGCE, QTS
• an Enhanced DBS on the DBS update Service
• a passion to help SEND students' progress
• Knowledge of the National Curriculum for SEN

The hours are very flexible, whether you choose to do mornings or afternoons. If you are looking for more of a full-time role, there will be opportunities where you can take on several students throughout the week.
