School Office Manager - SEN School - Lambeth

The School:

The school is situated in Lambeth and supports SEN students aged 4-16 who have a range of additional needs associated with social, emotional mental health challenges. It's a Large SEN school that offers a restorative, therapeutic approach to education and behaviour management. As a learning support assistant you will be working in classes of 4-6 pupils with a staff to student ratio of 1:1. The school has recently been graded as 'Outstanding' in key categories such as leadership and management and behaviour.

Office Manager - What is involved?

  • Finance procedures and systems
  • Ensure the effective management and operation of school financial administration and financial policies and procedures
  • Health & Safety and Facilities
  • Management of facilities, including premises, house-keeping, lettings and liaising with external contractors
  • Annual and Emergency Review Support
  • Attendance to Annual Review and Emergency Review meetings to include minute taking and transfer of details to the required documentation, QA of Annual Review and Emergency Review documents
  • Student Related Administration
  • Overview and maintenance of all student emergency paperwork
  • Oversee exclusion documentation and record keeping on SIMS
  • Maintain and update student files and documentation on shared drive
  • Checking student attendance on SIMS

Office Manager - What is required?

  • Previous school based experience is highly desirable but not essential
  • Working knowledge of SIMS will be highly desirable
  • If you cannot provide evidence of at least one of the above then your application will not be considered
  • Must have experience of managing a variety of finance matters
  • A co-operative working style and a proactive approach to solving problems
  • Good interpersonal and communication skill and a caring attitude
  • A clear, polite telephone manner and ability to take messages effectively
  • A professional attitude and willingness to complete additional tasks as set by the senior leadership team
  • Due to school location, you must have a UK driver's license and access to car
