Remedy Recruitment Group are currently seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to work within Hammersmith and Fulham Council.

Job Purpose

• Work as a member of Occupational Therapy Service having a clinical caseload of people with complex multiple pathologies who exhibit a range of psychological, neurological, emotional, behavioural, social problems or age-related conditions.
• Assist in resettling residents following hospital discharge & triaging case to be passed to the various teams under the OT/ integrated care teams. To provide spontaneous or planned advice, teaching and instruction to patients, relatives, carers and other professionals, including trainees; in response to complex, sensitive or contentious situations.
• This requires empathy, motivation, persuasion and reassurance. Excellent communication skills will be required at all times and where there are barriers to understanding, resistance or compliance. Also, to initiate, attend and contribute to case conferences with health and social care colleagues, including providing specialist advice and education on patient care. To actively support the single-handed care project in H&F.
