Job description

Remedy are currently recruiting for Maths for alternative education provisions. Teaching key stages 1-4 to local students who have either been excluded, home educated, young offenders, teen parents, those with medical needs, those with challenging behaviour as well as a range of SEND and SEMH students.

Successful candidates should be confident and inspiring and committed to helping students achieve their maximum potential.

We are currently working with over 50 local authorities and virtual schools across the UK supporting students with supplementary provision and alternative provision requirements. The situations of the students we support varies and can include young offenders, teen parent or have medical needs.

You should ideally have:

* Up-to-date knowledge of the National Curriculum

* An enhanced DBS (ideally on the update service)

* At least 2 years teaching or tuition experience in the UK

Working on a case-by-case basis, teachers should be able to work autonomously, assess student's levels and plan lessons accordingly. You should also be comfortable teaching in a range of environments such as in a student's home or local library.
