Makaton Teaching Assistant - Southwark South East London

A lovely SEN School in Southwark need a caring and reliable SEN teaching assistant with training in Makaton and PECS. (NVQ Level 3 qualified or equivalent.)

You will be working 1:1 with students who need extra support within the classroom, you will also be supporting the class teacher with daily running's throughout the day. You will use special Makaton and PECS techniques to communicate and build relationships with students.

The post will involve providing lots of one to one support, supporting the class teacher in small classes, and helping with playground and lunchtime duties. You must have sound knowledge of Makaton and PECS. The very rewarding post requires hard work and commitment.
