Newham - ASAP - Full Time

About the Makaton & PECS Teaching Assistant role:

* This is a mixed ability class

* The role will include working in groups and on a 1:1 basis with pupils who require extra support

* Lead interventions when necessary

* Create stimulating learning resources to encourage academic progress

* Help to set up and tidy up at the start and end of lessons

Makaton & PECS Teaching Assistant - Requirements:

* Experience working with children with ASD, Down Syndrome would be beneficial

* Knowledge of Makaton

* Must have lots of initiative and a pro-active approach

* Bachelor's degree is ideal but not essential

* This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks

* Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained

* You must have the legal right to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available)
