Job description

Our client, London Borough of Lambeth is looking for a Court Progression Manager to join their team.

The overall purpose of the job is to drive improvement for our most vulnerable children and young people where a legal framework or legal intervention is necessary to safeguard their welfare and secure their permanency. The aim of the role is to safeguard and promote the welfare of children in Lambeth by ensuring care planning is effective and care proceedings cases progress in a timely fashion and by identifying opportunities to improve service delivery.

The role will operate across all sections of Children's Social Care and will involve working closely with team managers, senior management, legal colleagues, the court, and other local authorities and organisations.

The post holder will provide specialist input to inform and improve the quality of social work practice for all children's Public Law Outline care proceedings and pre proceedings work within the London Borough of Lambeth.

The post holder will provide specialist input to the progress of legal proceedings within current practice requirements, ensuring that the local authority complies with and exceeds national targets and timescales.

Essential requirements:
* Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification
* Registration with Social Work England
* ASYE completed
