Learning Support Assistant - Person Specification
To be considered for this role you must be a conscientious and motivated Graduate SEN Learning Support Assistant who has previous experience working with SEN children either in a volunteer or paid role and an easy ability to communicate. Your portfolio will include a passionate and exuberant attitude, committed to the well-being of students and the enthusiasm to engage with them in a small group environment. Ideally, the school need a Graduate SEN Learning Support Assistant who is able to think on their feet and cope with a heavy workload. This vacancy is open to those who have the capacity to show complete engagement in their support for all SEN pupils at the school.
About the Graduate SEN Learning Support Assistant Role
As a Graduate SEN Learning Support Assistant your role will involve you assisting with general support throughout the school. You will be mentored by a SENCO and taking on 1:1 sessions and booster groups will give you exciting teaching responsibilities. In general, you will be supporting SEN pupils through the academic, social and personal elements of school life. As a Graduate SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will be assisting teachers throughout the school wherever you are needed and receiving support and guidance from the Special Educational Needs Coordinator.
