Job description

Are you a caring and compassionate person that would like to gain experience in a school setting? Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant (LSA) that is committed to supporting children with SEN and additional needs?

The school are looking for a Male Learning Support Assistant to assist students with Challenging behaviour, Assisting with personal care and Medication.

If you have personal experience of SEN or Mental Health or have built experience via a qualification, or through your own volunteering and paid work, this role will really help build on your experience.

As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) you will:

  • Help pupils access curriculum through your dedicated support
  • Create and help with resources
  • Raise attainment of the students
  • Support the needs of students with SEND
  • Work alongside and learn from the teaching team
  • Adapt your support style dependant on the students' needs
  • Monitor pupil progress

As a Learning Support Assisatnt (LSA) you will have:

  • DBS on the update service or willing to get one
  • Prior experience with children - experience of supporting children with SEN needs would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of behaviour management is desirable but not essential
  • Creativity and Innovation
  • The ability to build relationships
