Requirements:
- Previous child-based experience.
- Valid DBS on the update service.
- Enthusiasm for working with students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine interest in education and a desire to make a difference.
- Ability to work effectively within a team.
Responsibilities:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with additional educational needs within the school environment. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and emotional/behavioural difficulties.
- Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages engagement and learning.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each child's development.
- Utilize effective behaviour management techniques to support students' emotional and social well-being.
- Providing individual and group support to students with learning difficulties, ensuring their inclusion and participation in classroom activities.
- Assisting the classroom teacher in creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
- Collaborating with teachers to develop and implement personalised learning plans for students.
- Supporting students in accessing the curriculum and adapting teaching materials as required.
- Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to the teaching staff.
- Promoting positive behaviour and helping to maintain a safe and inclusive school environment.
- Building strong relationships with students, parents, and staff to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
