Learning Support Assistant - Post 16 - West London - ASAP Start

We are currently looking for Learning Support assistants who can support learners with Autism and moderate to profound learning disabilities, learners are aged 16- 25 years old to work within a college based in West London.

The college offers a vibrant and extensive curriculum from within a range of classroom settings and community-based learning. All learners engage in the core curriculum and most attain entry level qualifications.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working with young people and adults with autism. A confident manner, compassion and a positive attitude are all key skills needed to engage well with the students and help them achieve their goals.

This role is to work with students who have additional needs, working 5/4 days per week.

Your role as a 'Learning Support Assistant':

• Provide day to day support, delivering 1:1, paired and small group teaching, and learner sessions using Positive Behaviour Support.
• Supervise and support community-based learning and educational visits.
• Work closely with the class Lecturer using your creativity daily to support lesson plans using a wide range of materials and resources.
• Support our learners to develop crucial life skills, meet their goals and aspirations through communication, independence, and participation.

Daily rates of pay will vary depending upon experience from £85 - £90 per day.
